Eco Warriors
As part of our Eco Schools Programme, we have created an action plan. We want to reduce litter and waste at Penygarn and encourage wildlife by planting flowers, building homes for animals and making bird feeders.
We meet each week to discuss ideas, check our progress and take part in different eco activities. We’ve enjoyed planting vegetables in our garden and are looking forward to trying some in the summer. We’ve also helped to organise our first Penygarn Spring Clean litter pick in the community. We would like everyone to help us to keep Penygarn tidy by not dropping litter and by putting it in the nearest bin.
Recently, we were awarded our Platinum flag renewal. The assessor was very impressed with our ideas and enthusiasm.
